The Summer I Turned Pretty
The romance drama “The Summer I Turned Pretty” premiered in 2022 with two seasons. The series introduces viewers to Belly, a teenager, who spends her summers at her family’s beach house. However, things start to change when she finds herself in the middle of a love triangle with two of her family friends: Conrad and Jeremiah. This love triangle has become a phenomenon, as fans have now made teams in support of their favorite brother.
Outer Banks
With its latest and third season released in February of this year, “Outer Banks” is a teen drama action-adventure mystery on Netflix. The show follows a group of teenagers, affectionately deemed the Pogues, who live at The Cut and are determined to figure out what happened to the missing father of the group’s ringleader, John B.
Suits
The drama “Suits” made a comeback this year. Having debuted in 2011, the show lasted nine seasons, concluding in 2019. The show is about a fictional law firm in NYC and follows Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who uses his photographic memory to talk his way into a job as an associate working for successful “closer” attorney Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), despite being a college dropout who never attended law school.
Riverdale
The teen drama and mystery series “Riverdale” ended this year after seven seasons. The series is about a teenager who was murdered in the town of Riverdale, and a close group of teenagers who try to unravel the evils lurking within the town.
The Last of Us
Premiering early this year in January, “The Last of Us” is one of the newest drama thriller series. The show is set in a post-apocalyptic 2023 and presents a world that’s been ravaged by a pandemic caused by a fungus called “cordyceps.” This fungus, terrifyingly, is a real fungus that turns its hosts into violent zombie-like creatures whose only goal is to spread the infection. Fans of the show will have to wait until 2025 for the release of the second season.
